Fred Jaeger has over 28 years experience in mechanical engineering practice, specializing in commercial and industrial HVAC and building systems, power generation (investor-owned and cogeneration), process engineering, equipment fabrication and plant operations and troubleshooting.

Other responsibilities include complete design and specification of systems, economic analyses, cycle analysis and optimization, start-up, operator training and documentation services. In the HVAC field, Mr. Jaeger has developed designs and specifications for a variety of building types, including biological laboratories, newspaper publishing facilities, military facilities, libraries and manufacturing plants. In addition to new facilities construction, Mr. Jaeger has focused on facility upgrades and rehabilitation projects, including central plant systems (large boilers and chiller systems), air distribution systems, direct digital control (DDC) upgrades, fluid handling systems and total environmental control systems.

In the power utility sector, Mr. Jaeger has had engineering and consulting engagements in cogeneration plant design (complete mechanical design drawings & specifications), power cycle optimization, boiler and furnace improvements, equipment selection, component and plant testing, and plant operations. Additional activities include several power industry research projects sponsored by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and public utilities. Mr. Jaeger has provided technical litigation support in the areas of plant performance, major plant accidents and contractual matters.
